We get all our permits sorted out for both Reflections and Blackwood and we head into Bartlett Cove at the mouth of Glacier Bay proper to get our required briefing.

After getting to know the indiginous population we head up to the lodge itself.

| Some old things |
Good food; the vegetable panini was quite tasty, as was the carrot soup.
After lunch we leave Reflections behind and expect it to go on up ahead to find a spot to anchor while we tour around the southern part of the bay in Blackwood to check it out up close.
Sea lions, sea otters, whales, black bear, grizzly bear, puffins, mountain goats; scenery, too. It is all quite spectacular.

When we’ve had our fill of it all, we find Reflections anchored in a location that gives us views of glaciers in the distance.
