So all I had to do was get myself to Seattle by 11:00 am on Sunday, July 15th. Delta could get me to Seattle by 9:20 on Sunday morning but there was only a 30 minute layover in Salt Lake City to do it. I like long layovers between flights and recommend them; and I don’t trust the airlines. So, I went up to Seattle a day early just to be sure (don’t wanna miss THIS trip) and had a pleasant evening in Seattle with no worries about not getting to the “Private Airplane” on time.
Sunday morning it’s up and at ‘em. Logistics. I manage to get myself, John, and the “Bring Liquor” to Boeing Field just as Warren and Betsy’s Falcon F-10 touches down. Great timing; and we like that. We all pile in and relax for the two hour flight up to Gustavus, Alaska. (Pronounce that: goo-STAY-voos).
